Fall Gardening…With a Plan

From Summer Struggles to Fall Dreams: My Garden Journey

Over the summer, I joined a group of like-minded folks who wanted to grow—not just better gardens, but also more confidence in the process. Together, we wrote down our visions, planned out our dream gardens, asked a gazillion questions, and got to work.

I wish I could say my summer garden was smooth sailing, but I’d be lying. It’s been hot, dry, full of weeds… and did I mention hot and dry? Gosh, summer gardening can be rough! With daily watering, things are still growing, but now that school is starting back up, the temptation to stay curled up in the A/C and let the garden go is real. LOL.

But—fall is coming, thank goodness! Cooler temps, fewer pests, fewer weeds, and (hopefully!) more rain so we’re not watering as much. I’ve never done a full fall garden before, mostly because by this point in the year, I’m just… over it.

But this year is different.

Here in Zone 8a (South Carolina), we’ve still got a long growing season ahead. There’s plenty of time to plant and harvest before the first frost. So I’m pulling up my big girl britches and going for it—focusing on our new garden space we tilled earlier this year. As I clear out spent summer plants, I’m filling those spots with fresh seedlings I’m starting now.

Want to join me?
You can be part of the mentorship too! It’s led by Amber from Grace Walk Farm in NC and Jill from Whispering Willow Farm in AR—two amazing, down-to-earth women who truly care about helping others grow. The six-week course includes weekly coaching calls, printable guides, and a ton of tips, tricks, and resources to make your garden thrive.

The best part? We get to ask questions and get answers in real time. No more Googling 814 things just to figure out what’s going on with your cucumbers. 😂

If you’re ready to learn and grow right alongside me this fall, I’d love to see you in the mentorship! I’ll add my link to join below as well!

Here’s some links to help you check it out – the new session starts August 4th!

My personal link to join us is here I do make a commission if you join using my link, but honestly I wouldn’t share it if I wasn’t super impressed by what I’ve already learned! I’ve spent SO much money on different courses and books and never really felt like I learned anything and certainly didn’t have a safe space to ask questions in real time!

This is a video I created for the mentorship – I really hope you will join us!
