Happy Tuesday to you…if you’re like me – it’s back to work today! I will have the now nearly 6 month old Drake (here he is before Christmas in all of his cuteness) in my care today alone since Caroline doesn’t come back until Friday. We’ll be taking down Christmas decor and putting out some winter items to help make the bridge until the next major holiday. It’s always sad to pack it away, but to be honest, this year, I never even put it all out. I was gone to Europe in early December with my sister (watch for that post soon) and then hit the ground running when I returned to prepare for Christmas.
So here’s a few Tuesday Testimonies for you…
1- Between my trip to Europe and holiday eating that was off plan…I’ve gained about 8 pounds…simply by adding carbs/sugar back in even in small amounts – it’s crazy how fast it comes back when it felt like it took FOREVER to lose in the first place. I’ve gotten back on plan and quit the cheats, but I’m sure it’ll take a few weeks to start seeing results. That’s what being your 40’s will do to ya….ha!
2- I had all these plans to do all these things over Christmas break and for the most part, I didn’t get any of them done. I shopped and cooked for multiple Christmas gatherings, but the cleaning, organizing and planning I had on my to do list went sadly by the wayside. There just aren’t enough hours in a day I tell ya, and I’m the queen of procrastination…not a great combo.
3- I have REALLY big plans to do lots of GREAT things this year. Laying out a plan to get said things rolling, however…I’m sorely behind already. But I have aspirations to plant a garden EARLY this year, buy more chickens, clean out my craft room, donate lots of things and list all the stuff I was gonna list last year in my Etsy shop among others…the more I think about it, the more I’m overwhelmed. And for a procrastination expert like myself…that’s no good.
4- This is probably the silliest picture my husband and I have ever taken, but it makes me smile and even giggle a little every time I look at it. My sister took it when we made our annual anniversary pictures on Thanksgiving weekend and we had to do many takes to get us both jumping at the same time…but the look on my husband’s face is hysterical…and I’m so glad I get to do life with a fun guy like him…he doesn’t take things too seriously most of the time and it’s a blessing to be married to him. It’s a reminder to take time to do silly things like this…everyone needs a laugh now and again, right?
5- I don’t excel in blog design and it’s still bugging me. I changed over to Word Press last year after blogging for a few years on another platform and I still haven’t gotten the hang of personalizing my blog like I want to. It’s on the list for 2018…we’ll just see if I can manage to get it done.
That’s all for today – thanks for tuning in and have a great day!
Blessings,
Stephanie
